Alliance 2014, Day 2: Oracle announces major investments in Student Cloud, PeopleSoft Campus for Institutions Unique Needs
Ataway's Tina Travis presents at Alliance 2014.
Ataway was excited to attend many sessions last Monday at the Alliance Conference! On the second day of the event, Oracle made a big announcement regarding major investments in higher education solutions, including a new Oracle Student Cloud, a new Higher Education functionality delivered in Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud, and a new release for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Suite.
Oracle plans to provide a flexible deployment model for administrative systems customers in the Higher Education field. Oracle's offerings will enable institutions to run their student and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on premise or to migrate to a cloud-based deployment when it makes sense for the institution.

Oracle will also offer Oracle Student Cloud to meet the needs of customers and to free up IT resources for mission-critical activities such as learning, teaching and research.
For calendar years 2014-15, Oracle plans to offer Higher Education-specific functionality in Oracle Human HCM Cloud and Oracle ERP Cloud. The solutions will include the best capabilities from Oracle's existing product lines and will be enhanced with new mobile, social and analytic features, thereby improving productivity.
Finally, Oracle will offer a new PeopleSoft Campus Solutions release to provide a simpler, more productive user experience and a more efficient application lifecycle management process. This is planned for calendar year 2015.
• Amira Morcos presented a great session on how to prepare for General Ledger 9.2 and leverage its innovations and capabilities to make Finance more nimble. This session really helped customers to get the most out of their upgrade.
• Tina Travis and Frederic Portal showed institutions how they could leverage WorkCenters and build Activity Guides for Admissions & Recruitment. The session was well attended and customers had plenty of great questions.
• During the PeopleSoft Time and Labor 9.2 and Roadmap, Kayla Nguyen gave a sneak peak of a new PeopleSoft In Memory solution called "In Memory Labor Rules and Monitoring." She also provided important Roadmap information and shared some Mobile Applications for Time and Attendance that is coming soon.

Ataway was also excited to help support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in decorating lunch bags for some of the hundreds of children that RMHC feeds each week.
Brightening a child’s day with a creative lunch bag!
Finally, Ataway was honored to attend the international reception and chat with several organizations from Mexico, France, the Netherlands and more! As usual this reception was a success.
